Project is directly connected to the COST Action CA18134 – Genomic Biodiversity Knowledge for Resilient Ecosystems (G-BiKE) which is aimed to establish standard tools for genetic and genomic monitoring and managing of wild or ex-situ populations of plants and animals. Activities proposed within the project will help to develop new methodological tools for genetic/genomic transboundary monitoring of endangered species and for monitoring of gene introgression through hybridization between native and introduced species. By taking advantages of using new technologies (e.g. high-throughput genomic methods) and international collaboration with other G-BiKE members, these activities will lead to higher effectiveness of species conservation, reached by integrating genetic and evolutionary knowledge into conservation management.
