The project investigates the evolutionary consequences of sexual promiscuity in passerines (Aves: Passeriformes). Using innovative methods and comparative data, we explore how postcopulatory sexual selection shapes reproductive strategies within and among species, as well as the evolution of reproductive genes. This comprehensive approach may have broader implications for polygynandrous species, including humans.
