An international conference focused on the study of fish reproductive strategies will take place in Brno on 21–23 January 2026. The meeting will bring together genetic, physiological, behavioural, ecological, evolutionary, and applied approaches to the study of fish mating systems, with the aim of developing a coherent framework for understanding the extraordinary diversity of fish reproductive strategies and their evolutionary context. The conference will be held at the Masaryk University campus. Confirmed plenary speakers include Suzanne Alonzo, John Fitzpatrick, and Chiara Benvenuto. With no parallel sessions, the meeting is designed to foster open discussion and a friendly atmosphere and will symbolically take place in the year marking the 60th anniversary of the publication of Modes of Reproduction in Fishes by Breder and Rosen. The main organisers of the conference are Martin Reichard, Carl Smith, and Jakub Žák.
