RNDr. Petr Procházka, Ph.D., from the Institute of Vertebrate Biology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, received the Honorary Recognition of the President of the Czech Science Foundation (GA ČR) for his outstanding results achieved within the grant project “Relationships between migratory behaviour, phenology, habitat requirements, and demography as a key to understanding the population dynamics of migratory birds.”
The President’s Award of the Czech Science Foundation is granted annually for exceptional scientific results achieved in projects completed during the previous year. In 2025, based on the recommendations of several hundred scientists, fifteen projects were nominated—three in each of the five areas of basic research. Only one principal investigator in each field receives the main award. Researchers whose projects were nominated but did not win the main award are granted the Honorary Recognition of the President of the Czech Science Foundation.
